I once donated 12 inches of hair! I went in planning for 8, but then I realized how much someone in need could really enjoy a full foot of hair, so I went super short with the cut! Sure, it took a few years to grow back and I went through some awkward stages of hair looks, but it is something I will never forget in my life and worth every inch I chopped off. It’s worth a try and some places accept as little as 6 inches of hair! 

Many people would rather donate things than money and collections or drives are a great way to get people together and helping for a good cause! Consider doing a clothing collection, blood drive, or canned food drive. SO many more options, too!

Yes, many people would prefer to donate in other ways than monetarily, but money is crucially needed for SO many organizations. If you ever doubt where your money is going or if an organization is worth donating to, check out CharityNavigator.Org. You will not see every single organization there, but you should see the registered 501c3 non-profits. Give Safely, my friends!

This is one of the biggest ways that someone can give back. I have not personally donated an organ, but I know some who have and I have listed myself as an organ donor on my driver’s license. Something to consider!
